The NVIDIA Control Panel gives you driver-level control over rendering behavior, power management, and latency settings that operate below the game engine. Default settings prioritize compatibility and image quality over performance.
How to Access NVIDIA Control Panel
Right-click your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. If it's not available, download it from the Microsoft Store or install it as part of your NVIDIA driver package.
3D Settings — Manage 3D Settings
- Low Latency Mode: Ultra — reduces the pre-rendered frame queue, directly cutting system latency
- Power Management Mode: Prefer Maximum Performance — prevents GPU frequency from dropping
- Texture Filtering — Quality: High Performance — prioritizes speed over filtering quality
- Vertical Sync: Off — disable globally, use G-Sync instead
- Shader Cache Size: Unlimited — allows the driver to cache more compiled shaders

See Services →G-Sync Configuration
Enable G-Sync under Display → Set up G-Sync. In game, disable V-Sync but cap your frame rate to just below your monitor's refresh rate (e.g., 141 FPS for 144Hz). This gives tear-free output without the latency penalty of traditional V-Sync.
Digital Vibrance
In Display → Adjust desktop color settings, increase Digital Vibrance to 70–80%. This boosts color saturation and makes enemies stand out more clearly in competitive games like CS2 and VALORANT.
Resolution and Refresh Rate Verification
Under Display → Change resolution, verify your monitor is running at its maximum refresh rate. Set output color to RGB Full (0-255) for accurate colors — limited range results in washed-out blacks.
