Your graphics settings in CS2 are a direct trade-off between visual quality and performance. For competitive play, performance always wins. Lower settings don't just give you more frames — they also make enemies easier to spot by removing visual noise.
Display Settings
Always use Fullscreen display mode, never Borderless Windowed. Borderless routes the game through Windows Desktop Window Manager, adding an extra frame of latency. True exclusive fullscreen bypasses this entirely.
For resolution, 1920x1080 is standard, but many competitive players use 1280x960 stretched for wider character models and higher frame rates.
